A Prayer for Lost Family, Friends, and Others

Dear Jesus, Eternal Father,

You laid down your sinless life on the cross at Calvary to redeem mankind.

You took the sins of the world past, present, and future upon yourself to pay the debt for our sins so we could be made right with the Father.

By your wounds we were healed.

Jesus, thank you for seeking us when we were lost in sin, for redeeming our messed-up lives. I pray that you will do the same for all of our loved ones, family, and friends.

We pray that all of these people who we pray for will have their eyes opened, that they will finally see the great love that you have for them, and in gratitude surrender their lives to you.

Lord, shatter their pride in self-sufficiency and show them that there is nothing good and lasting that will come to them apart from you.

Break the chains that bind them to their sin and Satan’s lies. Father, make them receptive to your message of grace and forgiveness through faith in your son, Jesus Christ, who is the only way, the only truth, and only source of eternal life with you.

May the Holy Spirit convict them, lead them to repentance, and draw them to Jesus for complete forgiveness and a love like they have never known. We leave them in your hands, Father.
